Info: Before you begin, consider checking this Pokédex guide by RogueMaster .
This guide provides a priority order for Pokédex filling. Like Pheno Exclusive Pokémon.
Disclaimer: My ( MrFishLover ) Project was part of a larger private project that was not originally intended for the public; therefore, a lot of AI was used.
Instructions
Basics
  • Important:
    • For optimal use, if your in-game Pokédex has many entries, check the 'Pokédex View' section for 'Filtering Suggestion'.
  • Catching Pokémon:
    • Clicking on a Picture in Pokédex view or 'Sort Locations' marks a Pokémon as caught. By clicking on a caught Pokémon again, it gets 'released'.
That's important, the best catching spot only takes uncaught Pokémon into calculations, only this way you get the optimal location.
Safari Zone works a bit differently (not all Pokémon are available all the time), so I would not recommend going there to fill your dex.
  • Profiles:
    • You can change your profile by clicking on the hamburger menu icon in the top left corner. For optimal use of the chat log upload function, ensure your profile name on this page matches your in-game character name.
  • WARNING:
    • Your Pokédex data is stored locally in your browser. Please use the export function to back up your data or when switching browsers to avoid data loss.
Pokédex View
  • Toggle Pokédex View:
    • Toggle the Pokédex View
  • Filtering Suggestion:
    • If you are not new and your Pokédex has a few hundred entries, consider filtering by:
      • 'All Regions' -> 'Kanto' or any other Region
      • 'Pokédex Status' -> 'Caught' set it to caught to see how many you miss.
    • Your ingame Pokédex and the Pokédex on this web page will match, if you filter your National Pokédex to e.g Kanto ingame
    • After checking if you miss any at that Region change 'Caught' back to 'Pokédex'. And Compare the in-game dex with this web page.
This makes it easier to find the missing Pokémon to mark as caught.
  • Import/Export:
    • Imports and exports your Pokédex list, including their caught status and timestamp.
  • Upload Chat Log (BETA):
    • Upload your in-game chat log from the PokeMMO "logs" folder. To enable this feature, go to "Settings -> Chat" in PokeMMO and enable "Log Chat to Disk".
    • This function attempts to extract Pokédex entries and evolution messages. Breeding doesn't work, it has no chat log. It also only works if your profile name on this page matches your in-game character name, to prevent adding Pokémon from other Characters.
    • This feature is not fully tested; use with caution. After uploading, press F12 to open the console log for details.
Options
  • Preferred Catching Method:
    • Fastest: Uses the fastest method to catch a Pokémon, using Pokéballs.
    • Cheapest: Uses the cheapest way possible to catch a Pokémon, using Pokéballs.
  • Display Catch Probabilities:
    • Displays best 4 catch probabilities, based on chosen method.
  • Show Rarities/Encounter Types:
    • This adds Rarities and Types to lists. Some Pokémon have more rarities on locations, that's why it shows more rarities. It will auto refresh when you mark a Pokémon as caught.
    • Rarities: Common (5), Uncommon (9), Rare (10), Very Rare (12), Lure (2), Very Common (9)
    • Types: Grass (30), Water (6), Rocks (2), Old Rod (2), Good Rod (3), Super Rod (4)
Sorting Filters
  • Filter by Region:
    • Allows you to filter locations by selecting specific regions from a list of checkboxes.
  • Exclude Safari:
    • When checked, this option hides any catching spots located within the Safari Zone from the list.
This is because not all Pokémon are always available in the Safari Zone.
  • Prioritize Time Exclusive:
    • When checked, this option reorders the list of catching spots to display locations with time-exclusive Pokémon at the top.
This helps to prioritize catching Pokémon that are only available during specific in-game times.
Pokemon Notes
  • Noting Pokémon:
    • In the 'Sort Locations' list, click on 'Note'.
    • The selected Pokémon will be marked as caught, and other uncaught Pokémon in its evolution line will be noted.
    • Noted Pokémon will have an orange border and will be excluded from 'Sort Locations' calculations.
    • Right-clicking a noted Pokémon in the Pokédex view or 'Sort Locations' list will uncatch it and remove its note.
    • Useful to keep track of the Pokémon you want to evolve later, while still hunting for more.
